What is the pen tool used for?
The pen tool is used to create lines in an Adobe Illustrator document.

How can you manipulate a path/line in Illustrator? Discuss the use of the white arrow tool, pen+, pen-, and convert tool.
There are many ways to manipulate a path/line in Illustrator. You can use the white arrow tool, which helps to move a single anchor in a way that is not originally offered. The pen+ and pen- tools allow you to add or delete an anchor on a line made by the pen tool. And the convert tool helps to convert a line made by the pen tool from a curved to straight line or vise a verse.

How can you utilize the layers palette in Illustrator?
When working with a picture that you are going to trace you can make multiple layers that you have to option to lock and or hide. this allows you the ability to manipulate a line with out disturbing another layer.

How do you create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator?
First you make a box around the item/items that you want shown. Then you make sure that the box is in front of everything and that it has no stroke or fill. After you select everything in you picture and go to object and clipping mask and make. The the part of your picture that was in your box will be the part that is shown.

Shape

This is an example of an advertisement that uses shape in the design. The designer used a lot of different shapes to make one big shape of a heart. This poster looks much better than it would if it was just a single solid heart. The shapes that the artist used also go with what they were advertising for.


Line

This poster is a good example of how line can be used in a design. The lines are in a flowing manner like how we think music flows. The artist uses different thicknesses of lines throughout the poster. The way all the lines are placed in this poster draws your eye to it.


Texture

This posters use texture to help its message. The way the words in the background are layered and put in different directions makes it look like there is a lot of different papers folded and put on top of each other. This texture makes it more interesting because it uses script from Da Vinci, who is the person that said the quote in the middle of the poster.


Space

Space is shown in this poster by how it is split from light and dark. The area where the person is, is the positive space and where it is black is negative space. This use if space helps to draw the eye to the middle where the man is. It also gives it a on stage look because it is what they are promoting.


Value

This poster is a good example of value because is uses the different shades of color to emphasize the bullseye. Value is a good element to uses when you want something to pop out. The artist cleverly used value in this design.

They have no language barriers and it makes a link easier to spot.

Copyright is a legal right given to 1 person or group and public domain is not subject to
copyright because it is open for anyone to use.

Graphic designers communicate effectively using images and text. The communication process is when a designer listens to their client and attempts to portray the clients ideas in an effective way using images and text.
